Sorensen Baby #2

We've just been to visit the doctor about our new little baby. He says everything looks really good and we'll be having a little girl! She's measuring a little small (in the 12th percentile), but the doctor wasn't surprised since Atley was a small baby too. He says we're going to keep the due date as Christmas Day because it's the best estimate. We've been able to share the news with most of our family already, but an official blog update is tradition. Here are some pictures from the Ultrasound!

I know Ultrasounds can be hard to figure out, but thankfully the woman who did this labeled most of the photos. Enjoy these pictures, because hopefully they'll be the last ones before we get to meet her in person! Thanks for sharing our good news with us!

9 months & 19 weeks!

Our little Atley is officially 9 months old so we thought it was a good time to post an update about his health! He's now 17lbs 3oz an 27.5 inches long! That puts him in the 6th percentile for weight, and the 24th for height. He's not a very big kid for his age, but as the doctors are consistently pointing out, he was born pretty small. His growth is good and it's possible that he'll even hit 20lbs by his 1st birthday, now just 3 months away! As for everything else, he's up to date on his shots, so thankfully we didn't have to go through that! He also has 4 teeth an loves to bite. The two on the top came when he was about 6 1/2 months and the top two only recently appeared. We're really happy that Atley is healthy and strong!

As for our other baby, we're almost 20 weeks and have an appointment this Thursday morning for an Ultrasound. With everything that's been going on, this pregnancy (thought it hasn't been easy) has gone by so much faster. This ultrasound kind of even snuck up on us! So far everything (health wise) has been great. While Atley is my little talker, I think this baby will be my mover. At our 8 week ultrasound the doctor said he was suprised to see an 8 week old baby move so much. Also, whenever we look for his/her heartbeat, he/she is always kicking the monitor. We're really excited to see how they react to each other. With Atley being the older one and the talker, he'll probably be getting this baby to do all his chores! Atley will be the boss, and this baby the muscle! :) It'll certainly be exciting!
