Fun, fun, fun

My kids are the so cute it's hard to control myself when deciding what pictures to share. Here are a few of my favorite moments from the last couple weeks!

I knew that having two kids would make me tired from time to time, but I had no idea that I'd have the same effect on them! Just kidding! Atley, Holly, and I enjoyed a morning snuggle so Ian decided to snap a photo. At least I'm not drooling, right?

They are so cute together!

I'm trying to let go of control of Atley's eating enough to let him trying using a spoon. I don't like cleaning up the mess and feeding him myself is faster, so this is a big step for me. The other day he dumped his food out on his tray when I wasn't looking and decided to finger paint with it. I guess I can count my blessings that it stayed on the tray at least!

This picture and video are for future proof. When Atley says he hates doing chores I'll show him these and remind him that it wasn't always the case!

As for other news, we unfortunately had our car hit. Thankfully we weren't in the car at the time and the damage wasn't too severe. We were sad to find that there wasn't even a note of regret on our car. Thankfully we're getting things worked out, but I thought I'd share a photo of the damage, just for kicks!

The good news is, we're trying to be self-reliant by learning to take off the fender and replace it. Thankfully we have a little guidance from a kind neighbor and the internet!

Grandparents Baron

So, I'm currently feeling like a Super Mom! Both of my children are sleep at the SAME TIME! Woot! The house is clean and things are quiet (with the exception of my noisy downstairs neighbor). So I find myself asking the question, 'what does a Super Mom do when she's feeling so super.' Blog about her wonderful family of course!

Last week we had a visit from my parents. The kids enjoyed time with their grandparents and their grandparents spoiled them rotten with attention! Here are some videos and pictures to prove it!

Atley and Holly will always treasure pictures like these with their grandparents. I wish I had more of them and knew my grandparents better. I'll make it a point to always remind them of that so they can better appreciate the special effort their grandparents made to come see them.

We really wore Atley and Grandpa out. He didn't want to nap, but when I finally got him to sleep, he slept so hard!
While my parents were here Holly was able to visit my Grandma for the first time, too! She also met my Uncle EdRoy.

I thought she just looked adorable in her little bow!
So, I guess I just want to say thanks to my parents for a wonderful trip. I really enjoyed the special time that my kids and I got with you. We know you love us and we hope you know that we love you too!
Now we're looking forward to a visit from Atley and Holly's Grandma Sorensen next week as well as Holly's blessing! Be watching for the post!

Christmas and More

We had an amazing Christmas this year. As you know, our first gift we received when Holly came home. She and Atley are really starting to get along. At first Atley was really curious what was in her mouth, but now that he realizes there's nothing interesting (it only took a couple time outs) he loves to hug her and pat her on the head. See for yourself!

On Christmas Day, Atley and Holly were so ready to open all the great presents they got from Grandmas and Grandpas. I was pretty excited myself!

Later on in the day my sister Amy and her family came for a visit and to meet Holly.

They loved how snuggly and small she is! We've loved having her home too. It's amazing to see how much she has grown up in just the 3 1/2 weeks she's been home with us. She's now 6lbs 3 oz and 19.5 inches. Can you even believe it? Well, without the pictures I certainly wouldn't! So, here's a smattering of Holly pictures!

This next picture is my favorite. By simple coincidence, I got Holly's first smiling picture while she was snuggling with Ian. How lucky and how CUTE!

Atley has been doing a bit of growing up himself. He loved playing with his cousin Cadence and was pretty sad to see him go. Now, here's a smattering of Atley pictures!

Atley now has 13 teeth and is 14 months old. He's really transforming from our baby into a little boy!
As for other things, Ian is back in school and loving it! It seems that even after his homework is done he doesn't want to stop learning! He's constantly researching things to expand his knowledge of history and any other interests he comes across. Holly still hasn't been to church. They doctors have asked us to wait. Because of her prematurity, she is more prone to sickness and that could spell disaster. For the time being, I stay home with her while Atley and Ian go off to church. I really miss the support of the ward and feeling the spirit there. We'll be able to go as a family again soon which Ian is especially excited for after trying to contain Atley during Sacrament meeting all alone! He's counting down the months until Altey goes to nursery!
